Is it the flu?

digi credits: HERE.
And that, folks, is the last CT lo for the month. Completed and posted at 4:28pm on Sunday, 3/30! LOL!

Now I can either do what I want or do some advance CT stuff for next month! LOL!

digi credits: HERE.

I think I may have the flu, although I'm not sure. I slept for 12 hours last night. I woke up with a scratchy throat. I feel nauseated. Bleh. I don't get sick very often. I can't even tell you the last time I was sick...maybe October? I eat well, excercise and wash my hands alot! That is my key to that I think. Anyway, don't feel bad for me or anything. I think all I can do is scrap today! bwahahahahaha! Yahoo as far as that goes. Guilt free!

Okay, so you know you don't feel that great when even scrapping doesn't interest you. I was going to play and play and post and post and bleh! So I only made the lo above for fun, and I didn't want to scrap anymore!

CT countdown

digi credits: HERE.

I'm down to my last two lo's for my CT requirements for the month. Nothing like taking it down to the wire! LOL!

So I have one left now!

I never have a plan of attack as in doing in order of favorites or anything like that. It usually happens that someone comes out with a kit, and that is what makes me work with their designs next. I'm not sure how it works for you, but that is how it works for me!

I'm still trying to download the CT Appreciation kit from DST! I've got about 2/3 of it. Have all y'all gotten it yet? The lo above is one of the templates from the kit.

Don't forget about the chance to win a $10GC to Tangie Baxter Designs. Check out my post from yesterday to get the link. It's a desktop challenge. There's samples and a link to get you started!

I just want to brag on ds for a moment. He has a job at a golf course as a golf grunt. You know, the kid who cleans your cart when you are done. Picks up range balls...makes sure there is fresh water throughout the course in the coolers, etc. Well, he has had a head cold and had to work last night. The weather was amazing; the course was packed. He worked until 11P at night and never complained about it! Woke up and went to school, albeit a little draggy, which really pissed his sister off, but I was so proud of him! He's becoming such a man!!!

NadlM, Faith Sisters and Friday Challenge

Digi credits here.

This is my catch up card for my Faith Sisters Scripture Challenge. It's for week #3. The word was BEAUTY. I was drawn to this scripture immediately!

Beth Rimmer at Digitals is featured in Somerset magazine available now! I'm so excited for her. Her hybrid book is on pages 24-26. It's called "An Accidental Childhood". I hope you will check it out and also pop over to Digitals to check out Beth Rimmer's designs. I'm so lucky to be on this creative lady's CT!

Tangie Baxter's Creative Team Loft is sponsoring another Friday Challenge. I'm hosting this one, and you have a chance to win a $10 GC to Tangie's fabulous store! Check it out here: Desktop Challenge. I hope you will spread the word for me so we get lots of participants!!! I'm posting about it on DST, too!

It's a Desktop Challenge! Create a desktop for April. Rules and samples are featured on the blog!

Finally, wahoooooooo! It's Friday! Wahoooooo! I did spend some time yesterday painting my bathroom trim. I'm getting low on paint. I should finish up the trim tomorrow...I think. If not then, on Sunday cuz I'm working on Saturday, and I can't be covered in paint! LOL! Then it will be wallpaper stripping time. Oh la la! And I have been taking some pictures.

I also took some pics of some clothes I need to list on e-bay. That was on my list of things to do today, but I guess that 2 hour nap I took kind of interrupted my day!

New Blog Header and Some More Lo's

I made a new blog header. It is animated, but I'm having problems getting the animation to work. I'm not sure, but I think my file might be too big. Anyway, this was made using Tangie Baxter's new Digistrations. Credits are here.

This lo is for an upcoming template challenge. I used the new Bungalo Blossoms and Bracket Fetish I from Tangie Baxter and That's My Boy Page Pak w/ Alpha from CottageArts.net.

This lo is created with Doreen Stolz's new Spring Romantic kit and Doreen's Staple Factory.

This picture is of my scrapping friend, Missy, during a recent retreat. She is so funny because she used to do Public Information or something like that so she is very composed in this photograph! We were so tired. Maybe you can tell. Missy figured we got 10 hours of sleep and scrapped for 38! OMG that is alot of scrapping!

As I sit here

ds and dh are busy watching some Nascar race on t.v. DS is a big Jimmie Johnson fan. I like to trick him when he leaves the room and tell him Jimmie wrecked. I always get his goat! LOL! He went to work at 7a this morning and got off around 11:30a or so.

DD is busy im'ing on the computer, texting, and listening to music. I'm surprised her brain doesn't explode sometimes! She's been doing homework for part of the day and went to youth group.

I had a headache just about all day. Couldn't get rid of it. It was getting worse. Took some migraine stuff and OH YEAH! Feelin' fine!

Dh is nodding off during the race. He likes to nap in the evening! LOL!

I spent most of my weekend scrapping when I wasn't at work. Scrapstreet was having a big crop this weekend where you earn tickets. The more tickets you earn, the better your chances of winning the big prize. Frankly, I'm burned out from the 4 lo's I made, which were alot of fun to do. So I am organizing my scrap stash into my designer's folders. That's how I keep everything. And unzipping new kits I need to use, although I am finished all my CT assignments for the month except for two remaining for Scrapstreet's mag! I'm excited.

And this weekend, I'm off to a weekend crop so I probably won't do alot of scrapping this week, just to keep my mojo fresh!

That's What Friends Are For

Credits That's What Friends Are For by Doreen Stolz and Verena Karolyi (Collab Kit); Everthing Stitched by Doreen Stolz; Painted Tapestry by Cottage Arts.

So I'm having a creative dilemma in my scrapbooking right now. At first I got into digi scrapping because I could make realistic scrapbook pages. "Is it live or is it Memorex?" If you remember that commercial from way back when...

But then, there is so much more to digi scrapping where you can make really creative and artistic pages. They don't look like traditional paper scrapping because you couldn't do these things easily with paper.

What's a girl to do?

I've been experimenting with new things, as you know from visiting my blog. I think that is what I will keep doing. Just trying all the different styles out there, but I'm wondering where your thoughts lie on this topic?

Give a teen the keys to the car and you give them power. DD is out in front of the house yelling at ds to hurry up and c'mon because he had to run back into the house twice as he forgot things. He's older, but the one behind the wheel is the master. I don't think she'll like it too much when he gets his license and the shoe is on the other foot!

My dh is so cute. If I work the evening shift, I call him when I leave work, and he has the garage door open for me when I get home! Isn't that sweet! (We've lost our opener.)

The person who hit my car was not at work last night so I didn't say anything. I want to look at their car to be sure. I'm not one to accuse based on supposition. I'd rather double check before I make a stink.

Play Time and Yummy Dinner

I made the most delicious dinner that was a tomato bisque soup with whole wheat tortellini, bourbon marinated salmon, brown rice with broccoli, and a fab green lettuce salad with walnuts, dried cranberries, and goat cheese. I'm full and very pleased with myself.

Tomorrow I do not get off work in time to catch the bus with the varsity cheerleaders, so I have to meet them at their game. Luckily, these are very responsible and well behaved girls so I am not worried. Also there will be about 4 other adults on the bus with them.

Oh, my crop is coming up. One whole week and then I will be on a scrapping weekend! Wahoo! I haven't paper cropped in so long, I hope I can remember how!

Now on to the fun part of the day...the scrapping. I got to play with a kit by Doreen Stolz. I love the rich colors of the Memory Lane kit. I decided to scrap part of my Christmas lo's with it. I just don't want red and green on every page! Since my guest CT spot with Natalie Bird Designs is nearly at an end, I had to play with a few mor things, too!

Doreen Stolz, Idol, Heath Ledger

Digi credits: Holly Jolly Christmas by Doreen Stolz, circle stitches by Lisa Whitney @ Scrapartists, fonts - CK Becky, King & Queen, Christmas on Crack

Well, another layout down as far as Christmas and designer obligations! I finished this one today. I made the "font" as far as using one of Doreen's papers to give it the stripes for something different.

I keep saying I'm going to try all the new techniques that I don't know in my Digital Scrapbooking mag. Soon! Right now I'm trying to catch up and working. I'll have a day off soon so I'll be able to take a little more time and fool around. But I do love trying new things and getting different effects.

Are you an Idol fan? I am. I love it! I love having my laptop cuz I can scrap and watch Idol at the same time.

Heath Ledger - what a waste to die so young. I'm not a fan of "Brokeback Mountain", but I loved "The Patriot", "10 Things I Hate About You", "Lords of Dogtown". I don't know why he died exactly yet, but I guess it will all come out in the wash.

Catching UP!

Credits: here plus I forgot to add that the fuzzy stitch is by Amy Teets Sun Porch!

Credits: here
My laptop is back so I am mega catching up on all my CT assignments. I was at our beach house this weekend thinking I would get alot done! Nada! Even as cold as it was. The pull of the beach is irresistable! I made this lo in the car on the way home!

I've also started the six week fitness thing at my gym. We have a "coach", and I'm meeting with him this week on Thursday. I better have lost some weight. We did not pig out at the beach and hopefully walking will have made a difference while I was there!

I entered CK's HOF many years ago when you had to send in photos of your lo's! It was just a fun challenge for me, but apparently some chicks think otherwise. Check out this article in Newsweek: A Scrap Over Scrapbooks

While it appears all work was not original, and the lady signed a statement saying it was, I think getting your panties in a wad over that, which I do agree is cheating, also means that people have too much free time on their hands. Why take someone else's joy, even if they didn't follow the rules? Just let it ride! It's not like your name was next on the list! I don't even read CK anymore because they kept publishing the same people who even re-scrapped the same photos and it was just more of the same ole same ole. Plus you can find lots of ideas online for free!!!
